Valcor’s offering of chemically inert fluid control components utilizing PTFE flexible diaphragms or bellows to seal on a PTFE seat include 1.) solenoid valves, 2.) pressure regulators, 3.) pressure relief valves, and 4.) check valves. These flow devices are designed for utmost chemical compatibility by using isolating construction methods which do not allow contact of the fluid or gas being handled with the valves internal metal operating parts, as well as reducing areas of entrapment. Ideal choices for high purity, corrosive, and viscous fluids, these flow devices provide utmost dependability where ordinary general-purpose ‘wetted’ constructions typically fail.

Solenoid Valves

1)The SV51, SV81 series light industrial and the SV74, SV75, SV76 instrument class valves are direct acting, diaphragm or bellows isolated construction ‘dry solenoid’ valves ranging from port sizes of 10-32 to 1/8” NPS/NPT connections for instrument class valves, to end connections sizes of ¼” NPT to ½” NPT for light industrial valves. Instrument valves are typically provided with straight thread/bottom sealing connections while light industrial valves are provided with FNPT (Female National Pipe Taper). Instrument valves offer low dead volume, low power consumption, and body material options of PEEK & PCTFE. All series valves provide bubble-tight shutoff and can be mounted in any position.

Typical applications include:

  • Medical sterilizers
  • Chemical/Process analyzers
  • Laboratory equipment
  • Photo processing/Ink handling
  • Water treatment systems
  • Waste water handling
  • Bottle filling
  • Vacuum applications
  • Food processing equipment
  • Chemical mixing/dispensing
  • Ink jet printers
  • Chromatography

Pressure Regulators

2)The SV100 is a ‘dri control’ liquid pressure regulator offering fast response to pressure fluctuations. The virgin PTFE wetted components provide the greatest degree of inertness, and allows a high temperature capability. The regulator is panel mountable through a round knock-out hole, and is retained with a hex locknut (supplied). It’s small physical size and weight allows for fast response to pressure fluctuations. It has ¼” / 1/8” NPT connections, and adjustable regulated outlet pressure ranges from 5-60 PSIG. It is suitable for liquids to 250°F.

Typical applications include:

  • Pressure control of ink and toner in printing
  • Pressure maintenance in medical pure water systems
  • Pressure control for high purity processes such as food, pharmaceutical and semiconductor

Pressure Relief Valves

3) The SV101 is a ‘dri control’ liquid pressure relief valve, employing a unique spring loaded diaphragm that provides bubble tight shutoff and automatically opens when the inlet pressure reaches a manually set point. The virgin PTFE body and diaphragm provide the greatest degree of inertness, and allows for a high temperature capability suitable for liquids up to 250° F. The valve’s small physical size allows for fast response to pressure fluctuations. The valve is panel mountable through a round knock-out hole, and is retained with a hex locknut (supplied). It has ¼” NPT connections, a fully adjustable pressure relief set point between 5 to 70 psi, and a maximum input pressure of 125 psi.

Typical applications include:

  • Pressure control of ink and toner in printing
  • Pressure maintenance in medical pure water systems
  • Pressure control for high purity process control in such industries as food, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, etc.

Check Valves

4) The SV111T is a spring activated check valve with disc type seating. It has a relatively low, yet realistic rated cracking pressure, resulting in quick response to changes in fluid pressure. The optically flat PTFE seal disc and seat provide drip tight sealing on most fluids. Its small physical size and inert construction provides compatibility for a wide range of fluids. All materials in contact with fluid are PTFE, and the stainless steel closing spring is coated in virgin PTFE. With ¼-28 port connections, this valve provides bubble tight shutoff with a 2 psig or less cracking pressure and a maximum pressure rating of 100 psi.

Typical applications include:

  • Unidirectional flow of ink and toner in printing ink systems
  • Eliminates back-flow of chemicals in graphic arts firm
  • Prevents leak-back of reagents in analytical chemistry instruments
