Valcor’s SV91 cryogenic solenoid valve series is a 2-way, direct acting, floating-seal design cryogenic solenoid valve for control of cryogenic fluids down to extreme temperatures, as low as -454°F. It is available in normally closed and normally open configurations. The direct acting design is less prone to hang-up during operation and the floating-seal has self wiping action for tight shut-off. The SV91 cryogenic valve series has all welded joints which is designed to eliminate external leakage. Along with the standard construction, Valcor offers a high flow design and a design made specifically for LCO2. Consult a Valcor application engineer for help in specifying the valve for your needs.

About our other Cryogenic Solenoid Valves
Valcor Scientific’s line of cryogenic valves are designed specifically for cryogenic applications, with both normally closed and normally open 2-way valves available. All models of Valcor cryogenic valves are direct acting, not pilot operated, which helps reduce freezing and locking up. They are designed for high performance and reliability. Constructed of either welded stainless steel or brass body construction, Valcor’s cryogenic valves have fluid temperature ranges from -454°F to 32°F. Port sizes range from 1/8” to ¾” NPT, with pressures to 1,000 psi. Sizes of Orifices range from 3/64” to 3/8”, with Cv ratings of .06 to 4.90.
The other types of cryogenic solenoid valves offered are the SV95 and SV97:
SV95
The SV95 is a normally closed, direct acting, high cycle, poppet style valve that employs Valcor’s proprietary constant load PTFE or PFA seal disks. The PTFE plunger guides help the valve to operate in the extremely high friction environment that is typical with cryogenic applications, which also yields quieter operation and long life. This series has an economical forged brass body, with ports ranging in size from 1/8” through 1/4” NPT. It has Cv values of .06 to .71 and pressures up to 1,000 psi. The SV95 series is mountable in any position and can be used for heavy and high cycle applications such as thermal cycling, food processing, and biologic freezers.

SV97
The SV97 is a normally closed, direct acting, high cycle poppet style valve that employs Valcor’s proprietary constant load PTFE or PFA seal disks. The spring-loaded disc and direct acting poppet design ensures proper sealing and reliable shifting in high on/off cycling. This series has a welded stainless steel body, with a port size of 1/4”. It has Cv values of .04 to .80 and pressures up to 1,000 psi. The SV97 series is mountable in any position and typically used for heavy and high cycle applications such as thermal cycling, food processing, and biologic freezers.
