Model V520-11, a series of compact size,
one-way, coaxial, normally closed check valves are seismically and environmentally
qualified for nuclear power plant applications.
The valve shuts off instantaneously against reverse flow and opens at a low cracking pressure in the forward direction. These valves are specially designed with large seating areas and extremely low pressure drop, and as such, are ideal for use as in-line full flow check valves. The soft seated designs can be used in instrument air service to complement air pilot valve control. The metal seated design can be used where high pressure or high temperature water is the media. These check valves are available in stainless steel body as a standard and are also available in brass as an option. The valves are available in line sizes from 1/4" to 2" and can be supplied to ASME Section III or B31.1 code requirements. The valves can be mounted in any attitude, in either vertical or horizontal lines. No bleed off connection is required. These Valcor valves are virtually maintenance-free and are tolerant to high ambient temperature conditions, as there are few moving parts and no dynamic O-rings or diaphragm seals. The following custom design features are available:
